What Anne Marie Roche wants is to find happiness again. At thirty-eight, she's childless, a recent widow, alone. She owns a successful bookstore on Seattle's Blossom Street, but despite her accomplishments, there's a feeling of emptiness.

On Valentine's Day, Anne Marie and several other widows get together to celebrate…hope. They each begin a list of twenty wishes, things they always wanted to do but never did.

Anne Marie's list includes learning to knit, falling in love again, doing good for someone else. When she volunteers at a local school, an eight-year-old girl named Ellen enters her life. It's a relationship that becomes far more involving—and far more important—than Anne Marie had ever imagined.

As Ellen helps Anne Marie complete her list of twenty wishes, they both learn that wishes can come true…but not necessarily in the way you expect.

I decided recently to spend less time reading fiction and instead read more nonfiction type books. I had this book in my Kindle and decided to read it before I archived it. I'm glad I read 'Twenty Wishes'! I could hardly turn off my Kindle - I just wanted to know what was going to happen next (especially with Barbie & Mark!). It's the kind of book to read on a cold, overcast day, with a cup of tea, and a blanket to cuddle in. An easy read and very enjoyable!

Twenty Wishes A Blossom Street Book (Audible Audio Edition) Debbie Macomber Tanya Eby Sirois Brilliance Audio Books Reviews

I recommend this to all individuals who are having challenges in their life as it gives you a different perspective on how to look at situations. Be careful what you wish for as the answer may be not what you intended, but it will be an answer and it will be what you need. Thank you Debbie as I have the entire series and loan them frequently to family and friends,
I recently read Twenty Wishes, and I didn't want to put it down. I also shared this book with my girlfriend and my daughter, and they felt the same way.

With all the violence and misery on the airwaves, it is just refreshing to un-plug for a little while, and get lost in a book that just makes you feel good, no matter what the characters are going through.

I truly applaud Ms. Macomber's latest effort, and I look forward to reading more of her books.

This book is NOT a waste of time or money. It will delight you and all the people you choose to share it with. Get ready to go to bed with a smile on your face, and wake up with a smile too!

Sincerely, Linda H aka L A Jewel
I've read other books by Debbi Macomber and this was by far the worst. It seemed like a cheap advertisement for her "Twenty wishes" concept (that you should make a list of twenty things that you want to do).

Not only was there little plot, but the author kept trying to show how the "twenty wishes" concept changed women's lives but each example was so shallow that it was difficult to get interested, let alone inspired.

The "Twenty wishes" idea is a great concept, but it fell very flat because of lack of substance. It could have been a "Bucket List" type book with long-reaching positive impact if Ms. Macomber had tried a little harder to include plot or any depth in her characters.
My friends and family know I love to read so my mother-in-law got this book for me. It was the beginning of a new relationship with an outstanding author. I've become a fan of Debbie Macomber because of Twenty Wishes and have enjoyed all of her books with Blossom Street series becoming my favorites. If you like lighthearted stories you will love this book and may more of Debbie Macomber books. I was surprised when my sister-in-law sent me this same book for my birthday but I was happy to pass it on to someone else I knew would enjoy it as much as I did and still be able to keep a copy for myself. This is one purchase you will definitely enjoy for a long time.
I love almost all of Debbie Macomber's books. This one was good but I didn't enjoy it as much as her other ones. I felt it was a bit too predictable and reiterated some sentences too often.

I first learned of her by coming across her Cedar Cover series and couldn't put those books down until I had read everyone in the series. I was excited to begin reading another of her series-The Blossom Street series but am a bit disappointed that each book in this series almost seems very separate from the others. It doesn't seem to have as much of a continuing story from one book to another like the Cedar Cove series was.
This book was my first introduction to Debbie Macomber and was recommended by a friend. This book, even though not written for Christmas, is perfect to read for the holidays and can help set the tone for the New Year. I enjoyed the characters, their shenanigans, and their challenges. I loved that Anne Marie owns her own independent book store. I want to live on Blossom Street (or at the very least read the rest of the books in the series). I have even started my own 20 wishes. Very inspiring book even for the spiritually-challenged.
I love Debbie Macomber!!! I'm getting in the game kind of slow. My best friend told me 15 years ago how wonderful her books were but I didn't listen. I needed a beach read and found this book at a supermarket in Florida. I was hooked!!! I'm going through the Blossom Street books so far. It's an easy read and far too short! I wanted it to go on and on!!! That's a sign of a good book. It's not lyrical but who cares, the story line is very good. The characters aren't totally developed (I would've like to see all the characters fleshed out just a little more) and if they were, I guess the book could've been twice as long but its enough for the story to go forward. I am certain I will get through all the books! BTW I LOVE the Cedar Cove Series on Hallmark!
